Dutch Bol.com shows again strong growth

Bol.com, the biggest online store in the Netherlands, continued its strong performance and reported growth in net consumer sales again. Together with Dutch online grocer Ah.nl, both are owned by Ahold Delhaize, the online business showed more than 30 percent growth during the second quarter, compared to the same period last year.

Ahold Delhaize, the food retail group that was created from the merger of Ahold and Delhaize Group, shared the results from the second quarter of this year. The company continued to generate strong online consumers sales in the Netherlands, which increased by more than 30 percent.

The revenue of Bol.com Plaza increased by 83 percent, compared to the second quarter last year, while consumer sales in Belgium went up 59 percent.

Back in March, Ahold expected Bol.com to generate €1 billion euros worth of revenue in 2016.
