Crowdfunding platform FundedByMe accepts bitcoins

The Swedish crowdfunding platform FundedByMe is now accepting bitcoin payments. This announcement was done at the same time news came out bitcoin trading platform Safello is looking for funding… via FundedByMe. Safello will also process all bitcoin payments on this crowdfunding platform.

Actually, FundedByMe is using the offer of Safello as a pilot program to test the utilization of bitcoin on its platform. “We see that among our investors, a great many of them are early-adopters. We also know that bitcoin users are familiar with new inventions at an early stage. That’s why we thought that we may offer both groups something interesting”, says CEO and co-founder Daniel Daboczy.

Buy and sell bitcoins with Safello
The bitcoin project starts today, together with the launch of the equity-crowdfunding campaign for Safello. This company was founded in July 2013 and wants to bring greater compliance and security to the bitcoin industry. According to the company, thousands of customers from 40 different countries have used Safello to buy and sell millions of euros worth of bitcoins. Safello is based in Sweden and is registered with the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority. It cooperates with Handelbanken, one of the major banks in Sweden.

The pilot project comprises 45 days, this is the same amount of days the crowdfunding campaign of Safello is open. Alreadt 55% of the needed money is funded via FundedByMe.
