Hunkemöller wins two European retail awards

Dutch lingerie brand Hunkemöller is the winner of the Webshop Award Europe as well as of the Cross Channel Award Europe. It won these two awards during the election of the retailer of the year in Europe. The Retailer of the Year Awards were handed out in nine European countries and of all the winners a European winner was announced in three different categories.

The Retailer of the Year election is a pan-European event which was carried out in nine countries: The Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Austria, Switzerland and Luxembourg. During the spring and summer, consumers in these countries had the chance to judge their favorite stores and webshops.

To become the overall winner in Europe, a retailer must have won a category prize in at least four countries and/or must be the overall winner. In the webshop category, a retailer must have won at least three category prizes and/or be the overall winner.

Action is the overall winner
Action, also a retailer from the Netherlands, has been elected the overall winner and is now the Retailer of the Year in Europe for the second time in a row. It achieved the highest score across all nine countries. Especially in Belgium, Action got good grades as the average consumer awarded the retail company with 8.09 out of 10 points. Hunkemöller and Lidl ranked second and third respectively.

Hunkemöller didn’t receive the award for Retailer of the Year Europe, but thanks to a particularly high score in Germany and Belgium. it did go home with the Webshop Awards Europe. And because Hunkemöller did so well in both elections, it also got rewarded with the Cross Channel Award.
