IMRG launches guide to support cross-border e-retailers

IMRG has announced the launch of the UK Cross-Border Trading Passport, an A-Z guide for prospective online retailers who are looking to enter the British ecommerce market. Together with provider of e-fulfilment logistics services Norbert Dentressangle, the industry association for UK e-retail wants to support online merchants with international expansion plans.

The online market in the United Kingdom is one of many opportunities. It’s ranked by the World Bank as one of the top European destinations in which to set up and operate an online business. It’s home to major retailers like Argos, Next, Asos, Marks and Spencer and John Lewis. So it’s no surprise other retailer are looking to try and set foot in this blooming ecommerce country.

Guides for cross-border initiatives
And that’s why the UK Cross-Border Trading Passport has launched. But it’s not only the UK IMRG will produce a guide for, over the next year, guides for a variety of key territories around the globe including China, Russia, USA, Brazil, Italy and France are planned. The guides consist of handy information about the territory, statistics and facts related to the use of online and mobile in the country concerned, in-depth examinations of the legal framework, regulatory environment, taxation and payments technologies. Retailers who are deciding upon a trading location, can use the different Passports as an effective and useful comparison tool.

Cross-border trade provides opportunities
