Infographic: ecommerce contribution in Europe

Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, shared some interesting statistics about the percentage of enterprises’ total turnover that contains ecommerce sales. And it´s not the United Kingdom, France of Germany where the contribution of ecommerce to national business revenues is highest. Now, companies based in the Czech Republic and Luxembourg had the highest share last year.

A new table from Eurostat shows us the facts. The Czech Republic is the European country where ecommerce delivers the biggest contribution to the enterprises´ total revenue. Almost a quarter (24%) of the country´s total turnover is generated via the online channel. Luxembourg follows with 23%, which is also quite impressive.

The study from the European Commission is still on its way, as we’ll see some more interesting statistics in the future. It will also show the amount of values contributed by cross-border sales.
