Online fashion portal Fashionchick.nl expands to Belgium

Fashionchick.nl, a Dutch ecommerce portal where consumers can search, find and compare clothing, has expanded its services to Belgium. After launching dedicated websites in the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Austria, Belgium is the fifth country Fashionchick has expanded to.

According to founder Ellen Snijder, the expansion certainly makes sense, because a significant part of the current visitors come from Belgium. “We also received many questions from Belgian women asking us why our tool the Fashion Finder isn’t available to them. They shopped often via Fashionchick.nl, but not all participating online stores delivered goods to Belgium.”

Fashionchick.be launched
The newly launched website Fashionchick.be will be set up, just like the other international websites from Fashionchick, as an independent lokal label with Flamish editors who will be supported by the Dutch team. “This way we can respond accordingly to news, online stores and trends that take place in Belgium.”

Fashionhick was founded in 2008 and started as a social shopping site for women. It’s an online shopping platform where women can find the perfect look. Not only can they find the products their favorite stores sell, but they can also get inspired by blogger looks, streetstyle trends, how-to-wears and essentials, brought to them by the Fashionchick team. Fashionchick.be offers fashion items from online stores like Veritas, De Bijenkorf, Sarenza, La Redoute and Zalando.

After several years of intensive cooperation, Sanoma, one of the biggest media companies in the Netherlands, acquired Fashionchick in September 2013.
