Visa’s digital wallet service V.me gets more support in Europe

Visa Europe have announced this week new partnerships with 15 European internet payment service providers, which will increase the reach of its digital wallet V.me. This service has now access to their extensive ecommerce merchant portfolios and Visa expects many more retailers will follow and be capable of processing transactions by the end of this year.

V.me’s new IPSP partners in Europe are: First Data, Pensio, Capita Software Services, The Logic Group, Sage Pay, CreditCall, FIS, Verifone, eCard, Dotpay, Worldline, Atos subsidiary in e-payment services, Payline by Monext, Payzen by Lyra Network , Paybox (Point VeriFone) and Be2Bill (Rentabiliweb). Wendy Martin, who is the director of V.me, is glad issuers and retailers are responding very positive, ever since the service launched in late 2013. “The relationships we’ve announced today provide us with the scale and reach that will make V.me by Visa into a fully operational commercial service in its launch markets, with pilots underway in several others by the end of 2014”, she says.

With V.me by Visa customers can store multiple payment cards in one place, which gives them the opportunity to make secure online payments without entering any card details. Through on of the wallet providing banks selected payment cards can be registered. The customer then only needs to login with their email address and password, choose the card an click ‘pay’ to make an online payment.
