UK visual commerce platform Goodvidio launches out of beta

Goodvidio, which helps online retailers increase their sales with product videos curated from social media, has finally launched its service out of beta. It has also announced integrations with popular ecommerce platforms like Magento and WooCommerce. With 1 million dollars of fresh funding, Goodvidio is looking to expand across Europe the United States.

Goodvidio just announced it’s officially out of beta and open to public signups. Brands and online stores can test the service for free for 15 days, after which they have to choose a monthly subscription, which starts at 149 dollars.

Expanding in Europe and the US

Aside from the public launch, Goodvidio also revealed the National Bank of Greece and Openfund invested about 545,000 euros in the startup, which brings the total investment in the company to over 900,000 euros. According to the founders, the new cash will be used for expanding its customer base in Europe and the United States.

Increase of 80 percent in conversion rate

In the press release, Goodvidio says it has the ability to deliver an increase of 80 percent in conversion rate, 340 percent in session durations and 70 percent decrease in bounce rate on product pages that feature a Goodvidio product video gallery. The UK company tested its services with dozens of international brands and retailers, such as Tassimo and Deutsche Telekom.

“About 2 out of 3 purchases made online are now being influenced by videos shared through YouTube”, says CEO and co-founder says Dimitrios Kourtesis. “Online shoppers rely on review and how-to videos uploaded on social media by consumers, experts and brands because there is nothing like video to really help them understand a product before purchasing. We want to help online retailers bring this invaluable content from social media into their product pages and make the online shopping experience so much more intuitive and convenient, resulting in increased sales”, he says.
