Allegro launches Allegro Lokalnie

Allegro, a popular online shopping platform from Poland, has announced Allegro Lokalnie, or Allegro Locally in English. This is an online platform dedicated to private sellers and buyers looking for items listed by such sellers.

Allegro is very popular in Poland. It started as an online retailer, but the marketplace is now home to about 140,000 sellers, which are mostly small and medium-sized enterprises. Now, the Polish company is introducing a new service, called Allegro Lokalnie.

Ads from the neighborhood

Allegro Lokalnie lets non-professional sellers list items for free. Both new and used items by private users are gathered here and it will also give users quick access to classifieds from their neighborhood.

List offers fast and for free

“Are you a seller, but you don’t have a company? List your items on Allegro Lokalnie! We know that the needs of private sellers are completely different from the professional ones: they want to list offers fast and for free”, Allegro says in the press release.

Supporting local initiatives

According to the Polish ecommerce giant, the new initiative is also more than just selling and purchasing items. “It’s also about supporting local initiatives in the form of donations to social causes. Local non-government organizations, parent councils and directors of education facilities can submit initiatives.”
