Amazon Business launches in France

Amazon has launched its business marketplace Amazon Business in France. The B2B ecommerce website is now available on three Amazon marketplaces in Europe. Amazon UK and Amazon Germany already gave business customers the opportunity to buy business supplies through Amazon Business.

Companies that operate in either one of the three leading ecommerce industries in Europe, can now order business supplies in their local language on a dedicated website of Amazon. Amazon Business features over 250 million products, ranging from laptops to janitorial supplies and launched in the UK in April of last year. Now it serves over 90,000 customers, from small business to large multinationals.

“With the launch, Amazon.fr is becoming even more convenient for our business users, who can now benefit from features that allow them to easily improve the entire purchasing process”, says Amélie Veron, head of Amazon Business France. “Amazon Business offers a wide selection of products, free delivery options and attractive prices that our Amazon customers know and appreciate.”

Export opportunities for sellers from UK and Germany

Bill Burkland, head of Amazon Business at Amazon.co.uk, says the launch of Amazon Business in France enables companies to continue to streamline their purchasing, while it also provides new exporting opportunities for smaller UK businesses that sell on Amazon Business. Half of all products sold on Amazon Business are from third party sellers, with over 30,000 of them in the UK.
