Amazon Business Prime launches in the United Kingdom

Amazon has announced the launch of Amazon Business Prime in the United Kingdom. The new service offers one membership for a company’s business account and gives access to Prime delivery benefits like unlimited one-day, same-day and nominated-day delivery.

With Amazon Business Prime, businesses in the United Kingdom can also visualize their spend data, set policies to improve compliance with their purchasing policies and maximize their budget. The announcement follows just after Amazon revealed this year’s Prime Day will be held on the 15th and 16th of July.

Amazon Business launched in the UK in 2017

Over two years ago, the US ecommerce giant launched Amazon Business in the UK, which currently serves over half of FTSE 100 companies and 80 percent of the country’s largest universities. Now, starting from about 90 euros plus VAT per year for up to three users, businesses in the UK can have extra benefits while they are ordering products from Amazon online.

Most business-relevant parts of Prime with additional features

“Business Prime enables customers to get the most out of the great selection, pricing and purchasing experience on Amazon Business”, Dave Brittain, Head of Amazon Business in the UK, said. “We are excited to introduce these new benefits which take the most business-relevant parts of Prime membership and add additional features to make life easier for organizations of all shapes and sizes. Our goal is to help businesses drive even more transparency into their procurement process, while ultimately lowering their total cost of purchasing.”
