BigCommerce makes Mollie Preferred Technology Partner

Leading ecommerce software BigCommerce named Mollie, a payment service provider from the Netherlands, as Preferred Technology Partner. The Dutch fintech offers most of the popular payment methods in Europe. The news follows BigCommerce’s recent expansion to the Netherlands, France and Germany.

Ecommerce software provider BigCommerce has over 60 thousand users and is a growing competitor for, among others, Shopify and WooCommerce. Mollie takes care of the payments of more than 130 thousand customers in Europe.

60 thousand users access to European payment methods

BigCommerce already offered Mollie on its platform, but now the payment service provider is named as Preferred Technology Partner. Customers can add Mollie with one click in the payment settings on the BigCommerce platform. Through Mollie, users gain access to the most popular payment methods in Europe, such as iDEAL, Bancontact, Mastercard, Visa and American Express.

Customers can also track orders and payments in real time through the Mollie dashboard. In addition, there are multilingual customer services and technical teams for customer support.

‘BigCommerce and Mollie offer localized experience’

Chief Commercial Officer Ken Serdons from Mollie: “For small and medium-sized entrepreneurs in the ecommerce sector, building an online store with high conversion has never been more important. Together, BigCommerce and Mollie offer our customers an excellent, localized ecommerce experience, from first touch to checkout. We look forward to further strengthening our partnership.”

“BigCommerce and Mollie offer a localized experience from first touch to checkout.”

“Our partnership with Mollie illustrates our dedication to offering entrepreneurs access to the most advanced technologies and service providers that the sector has to offer”, says Jim Herbert, senior vice president and General Manager EMEA of BigCommerce. “Mollie shares our wish to help entrepreneurs sell more and grow faster, and thus maximizing their success. Therefore we look forward to supporting our customers together.”

BigCommerce’s recent European expansion

The close cooperation with Mollie comes after recent expansions to several European countries. Only in the past year, BigCommerce introduced localized services for the Netherlands, France and Germany. Therefore, Mollie offering the largest European payment methods seems to be no coincidence.
