Lightspeed today announced the acquisition of two ecommerce companies. The omnichannel commerce platform will acquire Ecwid, a US-based ecommerce software provider, and NuOrder, an online platform that connects businesses and suppliers.

Yandex, also known as the Google of Russia, has agreed to buy online fashion retailer KupiVIP. With the acquisition, Yandex wants to enhance its ecommerce offering on Yandex.Market. The deal should be completed in the third quarter of this year.

Dwarfs is a new scaleup from the Netherlands that wants to acquire and scale successful ecommerce companies that sell on marketplaces such as Amazon and Bol.com. Dwarfs has between 30 and 40 million euros to spend and wants to make twenty acquisitions just this year.

Instabox, a Swedish company that offers same-day delivery through its network of lockers, has acquired Red Je Pakketje. This is a Dutch company known for its same-day delivery with short time slots and sustainable transport.

Fashionette, an online platform for luxury fashion accessories, has acquired Dutch jewelry store Brandfield. With this acquisition, the German company Fashionette wants to accelerate its international profitable growth.

UK online florist Bloom & Wild has acquired Bloomon, its competitor from the Netherlands. Both companies will continue operating under their respective brand names. With the acquisition, the new group will be active in eight countries across Europe.

Asendia, the joint venture of La Poste and Swiss Post, has acquired eShopWorld. Asendia has been the majority shareholder of this ecommerce software solution since 2017.

Polish parcel locker company InPost has acquired Mondial Relay, a major logistics company from France. InPost will pay 565 million euros to buy Mondial Relay and thus expand its international presence.

ZigZag Global, a returns management platform from the United Kingdom, announced it has been acquired by Global Blue, a tourism shopping tax refund company, headquartered in Switzerland. ZigZag's solutions will be cross-sold into Global Blue's extensive merchant network.

Thrasio, a company that acquires Amazon FBA brands and then scales them, will expand its recent 200 million euros commitment to 500 million euros. It will use this money to acquire ecommerce businesses in Germany and further expand its growth across Europe.

Ecommerce automation platform Lengow has been acquired by Marlin Equity Partners. The global investment fund says it has big plans with Lengow. It wants to make the French company the leading ecommerce platform on the market.

Online fashion retailer Asos has required Topshop, Topman, Miss Selfridge and HIIT, all brands from Arcadia, a retail group that fell into administration at the end of last year. Asos will take over the brands as well as the stock, but it won't take on the physical stores.

Thrasio, a large acquirer of Amazon FBA businesses, has announced a commitment of 200 million pounds (220 million euros) to complete acquisitions of ecommerce companies in the United Kingdom. It has also announced the acquisition of Maximo Fitniss, its 11th acquisition in the UK.

Zalando has announced it acquired Fision, a Swiss company that offers a mobile body scanning solution. For Zalando, the acquisition is part of its investment in the customer experience.

Nexi, the biggest payments processor in Italy, has agreed to acquire fintech rival SIA for about 4.6 billion euros. The combined company will be one of Europe's biggest payments companies.
