Payments Europe is a pan-European association that wants to represent the European payments industry. It’s formed by European and global card-based payment solution providers.
The association was founded in 2019 and involves companies like BNP Paribas, Deutsche Kreditbank, Mastercard and Visa. It wants to represent the card-based payments industry by stimulating a “dynamic, competitive and consumer-centric payments landscape in Europe” and promoting a better understanding of the “complexity and inherent value the four-party card scheme business model brings to all parties in the payment ecosystem”.
