Correos improves deliveries between China and Spain

Correos, the national postal service of Spain, is teaming up with ecommerce giant AliExpress and Alibaba’s logistics data platform operator Cainiao Network. The companies want to better support small and medium-sized enterprises in Spain to grow into new markets, such as China.

The partnership is part of Correos’ strategy to strengthen its ecommerce services as well as its position as a leader operator in international logistics, the Spanish company explains in a press release.

Encouraging the growing export traffic

“The new agreement introduces a new key focus in the relationship. It’s not only to address the package flows between China and Spain, but also to encourage the growing export traffic, deriving from the AliExpress platform, from Spain to abroad”, Correos explains. The Chinese B2C marketplace will help Spanish SMEs that are looking to sell to other markets in Europe and Latin America, to help them grow globally.

Speed up distribution of packages to Spanish AliExpress customers

Correos says it will partner with Cainiao to develop specific logistics solutions to speed up the distribution of packages to AliExpress customers in Spain. It will also continue to be the main logistics operator of the Chinese marketplace in Spain. “AliExpress users will benefit from a better shopping experience, especially given the short delivery times empowered by Cainiao.”
