DIY retailer Castorama installs click-and-collect lockers in Poland

Castorama has installed its own click-and-collect lockers in Poland. The solution is called CastoMat and allows customers from the French DIY to pick up their orders whenever they like.

The company says the huge increase in ecommerce sales and the growing popularity of click-and-collect has accelerated its attempt to work on a solution that supports and facilitates shopping. “A solution that, at the same time, ensures the safety and the possibility of collecting goods contactless.”

Ready for collection within two hours

Interesting about the CastoMats is that big orders can be picked up using trolleys, so it will be easy and comfortable to transport and pack the products in the back of the car. Picking up items can be done by using the PIN code the customer receives beforehand.  Products are ready for collection within two hours of placing an order, at least if the order was placed during the opening hours of the store.

CastoMats are open 24/7

The CastoMats will be open 24/7, so customers can pick up their goods any time of the day. The first machine is installed in Castorama’s store in Warsaw. The French company is working on further automating the purchasing and returning process. In addition to new solutions, Castorama offers several options for collecting goods that were ordered online. Customers can pick them up at a collection point in the store or at parcel lockers from logistics partner InPost.
