Dutch B2B marketplace Orderchamp expands to France

Dutch wholesale marketplace Orderchamp has opened its digital doors in France. From now on, French physical retailers and online store owners can register for free to buy products, while French brands can start selling their assortment to over 12,000 connected retailers in Europe.

It’s no coincidence Orderchamp has launched in France today. On the fourteenth of July it’s Bastille Day, the national day of France. According to Orderchamp, the expansion to France fits with the company’s growth ambition.

Retailers in Western Europe

Since the launch in September 2019, it already connected thousands of retailers in the Netherlands and Belgium, although it’s also active in Luxembourg and Germany. A big, interesting market like France is a perfect addition.

Both physical and online retailers from France can now register for free, so they can buy products through the online b2b marketplace. At the same time, French brands can now start selling their collections to retailers across Europe.

‘France has a strong retail landscape’

“France has a strong retail landscape. Due to the absence of physical purchasing events in France caused by the corona virus, we have seen growth in retailer registrations for some time now. Since the closed lockdown, French retailers and online store owners have often been looking online for products with which they can distinguish themselves”, CEO Joost Brugmans explains.

“In addition, French brands are looking for sales outside their home market. Partly due to the challenging period, the need for them to find sales elsewhere in Europe is increasing. With our wholesale marketplace, we meet the needs of both parties.”

75 brands from France have registered already

Orderchamp says that already 75 brands and 500 retailers from France have registered before launch. In total, over 800 brands and 12,000 retailers from Western Europe are connected to the online wholesale marketplace.
