Ecommerce event One to One focuses on ROI and innovation

The fourth edition of what has become the most important ecommerce ‘rendez-vous’ in France starts tomorrow in Monaco. More than 800 decision makers and big names from the ecommerce industry are heading today to the French Riviera for 1,500 one-to-one business meetings and network opportunities.

All this is happening at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco from the 18th till the 20th of March 2014, as you may already have noticed by checking our Ecommerce Events Calendar. The One to One conference is meant to be very ROI-focused. All participants have their personal schedule filled with one-to-one meetings they previously requested online. Ingrid Fillon, manager of the event, has told Journaldunet that everything is organized to celebrate signatures of new partnerships with a bottle of champaign, a VIP treatment or even a press conference. Among the new partners this year that are looking for expansion in Europe are Google, Darwin, Datawords and Quantcast.

The conference, topics and speakers
The conference will host 90 expert workshops covering French ecommerce and multichannel retail, plus six plenary sessions. As usual, the French E-Commerce and Distance Selling Federation (FEVAD) will host the first plenary on Tuesday. During the presentation ‘Customer engagement as a performance driver’, the results of a study executed by Opionway will be revealed.

Subjects of the other plenary sessions are:

– Google : Issues relating to conversions, attribution and export in France
– Hybris: Nespresso: an innovative, exclusive and personalized omni-channel buying journey

Focus on innovation
This year, E-Commerce One to One will be dedicated to innovation and opens its doors to new businesses by giving twelve startups three minutes to convince the organization of their business plan. Investor Accel Partners and special guests from the USA and Asia will host the plenary session about innovation in ecommerce. Accel Partners is known for its investments in Facebook, Etsy, Diapers.com, Kayak, Birchbox, Showroomprivé, Bonobos, Blablacar, Flipkart, Lyst, Shopmium and MyThings.
