eCommerce Expo returns to London

One of the United Kingdom’s leading ecommerce events, eCommerce Expo, returns to Olympia London on 1 and 2 October. Again thousands of industry professionals get the opportunity to stay up-to-date with the latest technology and innovations in every area of the ecommerce process. And of course, the eCommerce Awards for Excellence will also return this year.

When visiting the eCommerce Expo you can discover how brands like PayPal, Google and Tesco develop their ecommerce strategy. Visitors can also join panel debates and hear future trends in the Keynote Theatre. Sam Hill, Head of Architecture at Tesco will speak about integrating the old with the new digital world, while Tracey Yaverbaun, Group Director for Retail at Facebook, will talk about driving sales in a connect world.

Optimizing online retail experiences
There’s also a brand new zone at eCommerce Expo, called “Technology and the Consumer of the Future”. This will feature real examples to help maximize customer interactions and optimizing in-store and online retail experiences. Visitors get the opportunity to check out Google Glass, 3D printing and augmented reality. “We’re extremely excited to present this new zone dedicated to the very latest tech and its impact on the way customers interact with brands,” eCommerce Expo’s Fatima Naqvi said. “With the introduction of the ‘connected consumer’ and increasing convergence between online and offline shopping, it’s vital that businesses consider how their customers engage with them.”

eCommerce Awards for Excellence
The eCommerce Awards for Excellence will take place on Wednesday 1st October, once again at the Marriott Hotel in London during the first night of eCommerce Expo. Previous winners include House of Fraser, British Gas, Eventbrite and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. eCommerce Expo also has eye for the thriving startup culture, as it will introduce six up-and-coming startups with forward-thinking ideas and innovations that are new to the market.
