H&M expands brands to 9 new markets in Europe

H&M Group has announced the online expansion of five of its brands. This month, COS, Weekday, Monki, & Other Stories and Arket will have their collections available online in nine new markets across Europe.

The ecommerce operations for these five H&M brands will be rolled out to Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg and Croatia today, while Greece, Romania, Bulgaria and Cyprus will follow on the 20th of May.

Part of H&M’s ongoing digitalization

According to Anna Attemark, head of new business at H&M, the roll-out is part of the company’s ongoing digitalization. “We are excited to share our brands with our customers across the world and are happy to see this project come to life, thanks to our incredible teams”, she says.

H&M: Sales decrease by 57 percent

For quite some years, H&M is busy trying to get more out of their online operations. Recently, news came out that H&M has seen its sales decrease by 57 percent since the beginning of March. At the same time, its online sales growth was significant (+32 percent), but not enough to compensate for the closed stores.
