Inditex brands sell online in all of Europe by 2020

Inditex will be focusing even more on ecommerce during the next few years. All of its brands, which include Zara, Pull&Bear and Stradivarius, will be available to buy online anywhere in the world by 2020. That’s what chairman and CEO Pablo Isla announced earlier this week.

“We want to make our fashion collections available to all our customers, wherever they are in the world” Isla said during a meeting with journalists in Milan. “Even in markets which don’t currently have our bricks-and-mortar stores.”

Online store Zara in more countries

Zara, for example, is available in 96 countries across the globe, although it’s ‘only’ available online in 46 markets. So, for the next couple of years, Zara will extend its online presence significantly. Zara is the most important brand of Inditex, which also has Pull&Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho, Zara Home and Uterqüe in its portfolio.

During the meeting, Isla also said that, by 2020, all of the group’s brands will adopt the integrated stock management system in the countries where there are physical stores. With this system, the company can fulfil online orders with store inventory.

Present in 96 markets across the world

Currently, Inditex is present in 96 markets with over 7,000 stores, half of which are from Zara or Stradivarius. In 49 of those markets, the company also has one or several online stores running.
