Just Eat Takeaway on Order with Google

Dutch-British meal delivery company Just Eat Takeaway is now available on Order with Google within the UK. Consumers can now place an order directly through Google Search and Maps. Just Eat Takeaway says that restaurants will reach new customers and grow their revenue.

After acquiring Grubhub in 2020, Just Eat Takeaway has over 70 million active customers globally in 25 countries. Over 580.000 restaurants are connected through the platform. The company has announced its launch on Order with Google in the UK. The service was already active in Germany. It’s unknown whether it will also be rolled out to other markets in the future.

Over 25.000 restaurants

Consumers in the UK will be able to order from over 25.000 restaurants using the new feature on mobile and desktop devices. Instead of visiting the Just Eat Takeaway app or website, they can order food directly through Google Search and Maps.

‘Just Eat is committed to supporting its restaurant partners.’

“Just Eat is committed to supporting its restaurant partners and I’m delighted that Order with Google is now live and providing them with another way of getting even more customers through their doors. This partnership allows us to continue to bring the very best service and ordering opportunities to our customers and restaurant partners as demand for food delivery goes from strength to strength in the UK”, says Andrew Kenny, Managing Director for Just Eat Takeaway UK.

No additional costs

Restaurant partners will have no additional costs for access to the new service. The orders that are placed in Google will still be fulfilled by Just Eat Takeaway. To process the order, the service creates Just Eat Takeaway guest accounts. Payments are made through Google Pay. If customers want to reach customer service after using Order with Google, they can contact Just Eat Takeaway through email or contact the restaurant directly.
