ModCloth returns to Europe

Online fashion retailer ModCloth has announced its return to Europe. The decision follows after not shipping to the European market for one and a half year. But after the acquisition of ModCloth by Go Global Retail last year, the company is available to consumers in Europe again.

In May 2018, ModCloth stopped shipping its dresses, tops, skirts, and shoes to markets in Europe. But the new owner, LA investment firm Go Global Retail, has ensured GDPR compliance, so the personal data of European citizens will be protected.

Personal relationships are in ModCloth’s DNA

“As new owners, our first priority for ModCloth was to reconnect with consumers, listen and continue those relationships in a more personal way, which is core to the DNA of this brand”, ModCloth’s co-CEO Jeff Streader says.

Our first priority was to reconnect with customers.

‘Always been a brand for women’

He says the online store has always been a brand for women and vocal in its support of women’s issues, size inclusivity and creating conversation about these topics. “Now that we are back to being independent, we can revitalize those aspects of the brand that our customers really loved.”

We can revitalize the things our customers really love about our brand.

Since last Tuesday, ModCloth is available to consumers in Europe again. The continent has always been a successful market for the ecommerce company. Before leaving two years ago, 20 percent of ModCloth’s revenue was represented by its international reach, ApparelNews writes.
