“Just in these uncertain times I think it’s important to continue to develop ourselves as a brand”, founder Sharon Hilgers says in a press release. “Moreover, opening an online boutique in Germany was a long-cherished dream.”
More than jewelry alone
My Jewellery started as an online jewelry shop, hence the name, but now it’s more. The retailer sells jewelry, swimwear, clothing, and accessories. The company was founded in 2011 by Sharon Hilgers, who started with selling her self-made jewelry on Facebook. Now it’s an omnichannel retailer with an online shop, fifteen physical stores and over 300 employees.
We keep believing in the shopping street’s power.
Now, the next step is launching My Jewellery in Germany. First, with an online shop, and hopefully later with physical stores. “Despite the recent difficult period for retail, we continue to believe in the power of the shopping street. We are confident that our customers will shop again as soon as possible and that’s why we want to be physically present across the border as well.”
My Jewellery says it wants to examine the possibilities before it takes further steps with its cross-border omnichannel approach.
