NotBranded winner CrossBorder Top-30

This week, the list of the 30 fastest-growing Dutch cross-border sellers was announced at the CrossBorder Event in Utrecht. Jewelry brand Notbranded landed in first place, followed by Cloudpillo and Wristler.

The CrossBorder Top-30 is an initiative of Dutch marketing firm Dexport. The list is published annually and shows which Dutch companies, that are active in cross-border ecommerce, are growing the fastest. Companies must have reached a turnover of at least 100,000 euros in the previous year to be eligible.

On Ecommerce News Europe, we often write about rankings and awards. Another well-known Dutch awards ceremony is the Shopping Awards. Notbranded was also named the winner of this year’s Ecommerce50, a list of the fastest growing Dutch ecommerce companies. Indeed, the jewelry brand achieved 400 percent growth.

Started in a living room

This year’s leader of the top 30 is Notbranded. The company began with just 500 euros in seed capital and handmade jewelry, in founder Monica Westerveld’s living room. Six years later, it is a company with 20 employees.

‘Notbranded generates more sales abroad than in the Netherlands, with Germany as the main market’

It is now a well-known international platform. “We have grown tremendously internationally and that is only going to increase”, Westerveld commented. “Through Meta as the main sales channel, Notbranded now realizes even more sales abroad than in the Netherlands, with Germany as the main export market!”

The jewelry platform has further international expansion on the agenda in the near future. “Our ambitions reach far. We believe we can achieve much more in the coming years, with the right strategy and focus on our core values.”

Germany important export market

The CrossBorder Top-30 aims to demonstrate the importance of international growth for Dutch online sellers. “We see that Germany is one of the most important export markets for Dutch ecommerce brands,” said Andreas Giese, CEO at Dexport. This market is very important not only for Notbranded, but for more companies in the list.
