PrestaShop expands into the UK

Ecommerce software solution PrestaShop is planning to expand by opening its services for consumers in the United Kingdom, the absolute number one ecommerce market in Europe. A country manager will be recruited and will be responsible for local business development in the UK. PrestaShop currently has business operations in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxemburg, Spain and the US.

PrestaShop already has many users in the United Kingdom. But according to Benjamin Teszner, CEO of the French ecommerce solution, this is not enough.  “We have the most dynamic e-commerce solution in the market, a freemium business model, several very strong local partners, and a very healthy user base in the UK. Having a country manager in the region will enable us to strengthen those relationships and expand our business opportunities”, he says.
