Virtusize brings fitting solution to more countries

Virtual fitting solution Virtusize expands to Denmark, Norward and Finland and has signed a deal with the Finnish online clothing store Brandos. Thanks to this partnership, Brandos’ customers are now able to tell if a pair of jeans will fit before making a purchase.

Virtusize, founded in 2011 by a group of Swedish entrepreneurs, offers a ‘Size Guide’ button next to the size selection on each product page. By clicking on it, the customer is able to compare specific measurements of any item they are looking to buy with those of a similar item they already own. If it’s an item they bought in a Virtusize enabled store, they can click on that particular item and mark it as ‘i own this’. Or they could just use a old fashioned tape measure at home and enter the measurements online.

Virtusize is now available at Brandos denim range in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. Tomas Björken, project manager for denim at Brandos, says he’s happy with the partnership. “It it important that all our customers feel confident when shopping jeans from Brandos. The new partnership with Virtusize simplifies the buying process further by providing a highly refined fitting solution that helps all our customers to find their perfect fit.”

“Last month we launched with ASOS in the UK. Thas deal and our new partnership with Brandos makes Virtusize the leading online fitting solution in terms of availability with over 30 000 garments at 23 web shops and with approximately 50 000 users per month”, Sabina Schött, working with PR at the Swedish company, tells us. “This proves that Virtusizes unique solution of comparing garment silhouettes instead of starting of with body (3D scanners, recommendation engines, outfit configurators etc.) is more accurate and effective when tackling the problem of size and fit online.”

She also told us that Virtusize has plans to expand their business to other European countries, the United States and Japan. To see Virtusize in action, click on the ‘Size Guide’-button on this page.
