UK parcel carrier Yodel has launched a new service, called Xpect Returns. This is a collection service which helps consumers with getting their purchased items back to online retailers. Customers can now have their returns picked-up from their location within a two-hour collection window.
Xpect Returns, which is available through several UK retailers, makes sure the parcels are returned to the retailer within 72 hours of collection. Parcels can be collected the next day, or on a day of the customer’s choice. The service also sends notifications through a mobile app, email or SMS to both shoppers and retailers, so they can keep track of the returned items.
‘Return as simple as delivery’
“The launch of Xpect Returns represents our ongoing investment in providing a flexible offering for both our customers and retailers”, says CEO Andrew Peeler. “The newly enhanced service will make the process of returning an item as simple and familiar as a delivery.”
Peeler says that the new service Xpect Returns is actually the result of the company listening to feedback from its Have Your Say survey, which receives responses from over 7,000 customers each day. “These insights revealed that nearly 40 percent of consumers prefer unwanted items to be collected from them over any other returns channel, so we are confident that this service will prove a popular choice for many of our retail clients and their customers.”
