Zalando expands to Lithuania, Slovakia, and Slovenia

Zalando has launched its online store and platform in Lithuania, Slovakia, and Slovenia today. The German fashion giant has also announced it will further expand to Croatia, Estonia, and Latvia this year, and to Hungary and Romania next year.

Zalando was already a very prominent online fashion retailer in Europe, but with the expansion in Eastern Europe it comes closer to its goal of being the starting point for fashion in Europe.

We are very excited to welcome customers in Lithuania, Slovakia and Slovenia.

“We are very excited to welcome customers in Lithuania, Slovakia and Slovenia, bringing them the most exciting fashion choices with the best convenience proposition and experience in their markets”, Lisa Miczaika, Vice President Central Europe at Zalando, says.

Local brands can join partner program

Brands and retailers that already sell their products internationally via the Zalando platform will be able to connect with customers in these three markets. On the other hand, local brands from Lithuania, Slovakia and Slovenia can apply to join Zalando’s partner program if they want to use the platform to sell their products online across Europe.

Further expansion across Europe

At the same time that Zalando announced the expansion to the aforementioned markets, it also revealed it has plans to further expand. It will open its platform to customers in Croatia, Estonia, and Latvia later this year, while it will also expand to Hungary and Romania in 2022.
