Zalando partners with US brand Abercrombie & Fitch

Abercrombie & Fitch has entered into a wholesale agreement with Zalando, Europe’s largest online fashion retailer. Starting this week, Zalando will offer Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister and Abercrombie Kids products through its online stores in the 15 European countries it serves.

The deal means Abercrombie & Fitch will have access to the more than 18 million active customers Zalando has throughout Europe. According to Abercrombie & Fitch leader Fran Horowitz, the partnership with Zalando will strengthen the value of all of their brands and accompany their store and digital presence they have already established in Europe.

‘Make online shopping more inspiring across Europe’

Zalando also has to say something about the deal: “Abercrombie & Fitch Co. brings three iconic brands to our business, thus, adds great value to our assortment offering. By entering into partnerships like this, we allow our consumers access to international brands, generate an enhanced offer and make online shopping more inspiring across Europe”, says Moritz Hahn, SVP Market & Category Management.

It’s not the first time Abercrombie & Fitch opened itself up to wholesale partners. It worked together with UK retailers Next and Asos, which brought in 8.8 million in sales last year. The American company has 117 stores in Europe.
