Peek & Cloppenburg opens online store in Poland
Fashion retailer Peek & Cloppenburg is further expanding its omnichannel strategy in Eastern Europe. The retailer launched an online store in Poland, where it already has eleven stationary stores. In the online Peek & Cloppenburg store, customers can order 20,000 products from 300 different brands.
“Poland is a very interesting market for us”, says Nicolay Merkt , Managing Director at Fashion ID, a subsidiary of Peek & Cloppenburg. “We already have eleven physical stores in Poland and they are very popular. By launching an online store, we want to expand the range of services for customers of our stationary stores and allow new customers to get familiar with our offer”, he adds.
Click & collect, free delivery and free returns
At Peek-Cloppenburg.pl, consumers can order over 20,000 products from 300 different fashion brands, with some of them being only available online. Through the ecommerce website, customers can also check the availability of products at P&C’s stationary stores and orders products with free delivery or shipment to one of the stores. Returning purchases is possible within 100 days without any additional costs.
Online and offline complement each other
According to Merkt, the online store and the eleven physical stores complement each other perfectly. “Customers can pick up their ordered goods in-store, try them on site and return them immediately if something is wrong.” He says that nowadays an online store is standard in customer service. That’s why Peek & Cloppenburg decided to enter the online market.
