Over 1,000 retailers achieve €1m turnover via eBay Germany

More and more German traders achieve millions of euros in sales by selling through online marketplace eBay. Actual figures from eBay Germany show that in 2016, the number of sellers with a million euros turnover via ebay.de has more than doubled in the last five years. There are now over 1,000 traders who achieved sales of at least one million euros.

eBay Germany shared the news this week, accompanied by an infographic and a video where it introduces three of the over 1,000 retailers who generated sales of at least one million euros via its online marketplace. Compared to the situation in 2011, the number of such retailers has increased with 106 percent.

eBay Germany analyzed the data and found out that almost a quarter of these ‘turnover millionaires’ are from the Nordrhein-Westfalen region. Many retailers also come from Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg. And based on the products sold by these retailers, it shows that Home & Garden has the most turnover millionaires, followed by Consumer Electronics, Motors and Fashion.
