HelloFresh launches meal kits in Sainsbury’s

HelloFresh has announced a collaboration with UK supermarket Sainsbury’s. The meal delivery service will introduce some of its most popular meal kits for two into 35 Sainsbury’s stores in London and the South East.

Starting tomorrow, Sainsbury’s in London and the South Easth will sell five different HelloFresh Go kits, but every six weeks the selection will be rotated. The kits will eventually be rolled out in Sainsbury’s supermarkets across the nation, but there’s no target date for that, The Grocer writes.

This isn’t the first time HelloFresh set foot into the retail market, as it recently opened a pop-up store in London’s Old Street Station. According to HelloFresh co-founder Patrick Drake the great response to this temporary store gave the company confidence in its retail proposition.

HelloFresh and DPD in Germany

Last month, in Germany, DPD entered the food delivery market with its new service DPD Food and HelloFresh became the first customer to use this service.
