Amazon Shipping launches in the UK

Amazon has introduced Amazon Shipping in the United Kingdom. It’s the first market outside the US where Amazon offers its premium shipping service for ecommerce retailers. Amazon Shipping picks up parcels and delivers them to the end customer.

Online retailers in the United Kingdom can now request information about the service, which is not restricted to Amazon orders only. “Ship orders from your own website and other channels, starting from 20 parcels a day”, the website states.

Rates are based on number of packages

The rates for shipments are based on how many packages a retailer ships per day with Amazon. When interested ecommerce retailers provide further information, they will receive a custom rate card within two business days. Amazon emphasizes it can’t ship packages with weight greater than 23 kilograms, length greater than 120 centimeters, and width & height greater than 60 centimers.

Amazon Shipping picks up parcels 7 days a week

With Amazon Shipping, the ecommerce giant offers a premium service at competitive prices. It picks up parcels 7 days a week, and then delivers them to customers. The company says it won’t charge extra fees for residential delivery, peak fees, or to deliver on weekends.

Amazon Shipping partners in the UK

Amazon Shipping currently partners in the United Kingdom with Veeqo, Linnworks, ShipStation, ChannelAdvisor, Despatch Cloud, Mintsoft and Scurri. Soon, it will also partner with Metapack.
