Boohoo almost doubles its sales

Online fashion retailer Boohoo has almost doubled its sales last year. The company’s revenue increased by 97 percent, climbing from 337 million euros to 664 million euros. Boohoo’s profit before tax increased by 40 percent during the same period.

The impressive growth in revenue [pdf] was helped by the recent acquisition of Pretty Little Thing, which saw sales increase by 228 percent. “The group made great progress during the year, integrating a new company and a new brand, Nasty Gal, into the Boohoo group”, the company comments.

According to Boohoo, the company continued to perform well, although there was a ‘backdrop of difficult trading in the UK clothing sector. “Our international business showed higher growth rates and we are pleased with its gathering momentum.”

Boohoo has 6.4 million active customers

Last year, Boohoo sent 22 million orders to 9.8 million customer accounts across all its brands. The online fashion retailer currently has 6.4 million active customers, which is an increase of 22 percent compared to last year. PrettyLittleThing has 3 million active customers, an increase of 128 percent, while Nasty Gal has about 0,4 million customers.
