DHL Parcel offers scheduled evening delivery in Germany

DHL Parcel started offering its time-window delivery in major cities, but has now expanded this service by offering it all across Germany. Consumers now have the option to choose an evening time slot for their delivery. During the order process they can now select a two-hour time window between 6 p.m. and 9.pm.

DHL Parcel shared the news this morning and said there is no other parcel service provider in Germany that offers a similar range of services on this scale. “As market leader in the German parcel-delivery business, it is our goal to offer our services in all regions of the country and, in doing so, to make people’s lives easier”, CEO Achim Dünnwald explained. “With the introduction of a nationwide evening delivery service, we are therefore setting new standards for the time-flexible receipt of parcels.”

‘Interesting for online grocery shoppers’

DHL Parcel says the expanded delivery service will help online retailers to match their parcel shipments with the individual needs of customers. “For the high-growth segment of online food retailing, for example, the option is especially interesting, since customers can have goods delivered at home so promptly at the end of the working day.”
