Ecommerce Awards 2021 winners revealed

Yesterday, the Ecommerce Awards 2021 were handed out. The award show was a part of the Ecommerce Expo, and took place virtually due to coronavirus regulations. A total of 21 different ecommerce players won awards.

Though the award show had to take place virtually, the organizers made sure that it was still a festive event. A magician and a band provided entertainment in between the announcements of the awards. Despite the difficult past year, there were still a lot of high quality entries.

Joint winner

Although unusual, this year the category ‘Best B2C Ecommerce site’ had a joint winner. “They are both equally deserving, as they’ve responded to ongoing challenges with professionalism and expertise”, said Theo Kenward, head of Growth with Fido Money who was the headline sponsor of the event. The winners were Iceland and Milk & More with Greenlight Commerce.

Retailers won multiple awards

Some of the nominees won multiple awards. ToppsTiles with Tom & Co. won Best Wholesale & Trade Ecommerce, while also taking home the award for Best B2B Ecommerce Site. Adobe won two awards as well: Best Customer Loyalty or Retention Programma and the award for Best Use of Personalization. The winner of the Best Leisure, Fitness & Outdoors Ecommerce award, Sigma Sports, also won Best Customer Support.
