Envolve Tech expands to US

Envolve Tech, a retail tech company from Wales, has entered the US market. The Newport-based company has launched an office in New York. The expansion follows after raising over 800,000 euros last year.

The Welsh startup has appointed Marc Blumberg to head up its office in New York. The opening is part of Envolve Tech’s expansion strategy into the American ecommerce industry. It’s no surprise then that future international offices are also planned.

AI platform for better product recommendations

Envolve Tech operates a AI platform that allows retailers to give better informed product recommendations to its customers. It does this by analyzing online chat conversations. Envolve Tech’s virtual shopping assistant gained attention in the US, after its debut at Affiliate Summit West conference in Las Vegas in January last year, BusinessLive writes. It has already partnered with some American retailer websites.

Focus on growth in 2021

“In the past year we have become a much more established player in the market, and this year we will be focusing on growth”, CEO Emma Smith comments. “The US is a key market for us to expand into because of its size, and also because American online retailers have shown such strong interest in our product from the start.”

According to Smith, the US is the company’s main focus for now, but she says they are certainly looking at other countries and languages to work in.
