Fashion app 21Buttons raises €15 million

21Buttons, a social-commerce fashion app from Spain, has raised almost 15 million euros in a Series B round led by Idinvest Partners. With the fresh capital, 21Buttons wants to invent in talent traction for tech and product profiles, and user acquisition.

21Buttons was launched in Barcelona in 2016 by Marc Soler and Jaime Farres. These two former McKinsey & Co consultants wanted to connect brands and consumers through social media. They started an app where users can purchase fashion shared by friends or influencers.

Just launched in Germany

There are over 10 million outfits shared and it allows anyone to earn revenue from sharing their favorite style. The fashion app is being used by over 3,000 influencers across Spain, the United Kingdom and Italy, and it launched in Germany last month.

Expansion to the US and other European countries

Next stop? The social commerce app will launch in the US in the coming months and it will also launch in other countries across Europe over the course of 2018, the company announced.
