[Webinar] Grow your business with the right digital strategy
B2B sellers shift to online self-service for more customer convenience and higher revenue. Research from Forrester shows how firms should react to this new paradigm. In this webinar, Joe Cicman, Sr. Analyst at Forrester, talks about B2B strategies. Join us on June 24th at 4 p.m.

As a result, the logistics service is now available to businesses in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Poland, Austria, Sweden, Belgium and the Netherlands. FICP is a day-definite delivery service, which means there’s a guarantee to deliver a package within a certain date. FedEx International Connect uses local carriers in the destination country for final-mile delivery. It managed over 16.5 million parcels in 2019.

Ecommerce businesses can reach online shoppers in Europe in 2-4 days.

Online retailers that use FICP can reach online shoppers in Europe in two to four days. But keep in mind that the availability of transit times may vary depending on origin and destination.

‘FICP has proven popular with ecommerce businesses’

“Since launching in Italy and the UK earlier this year, FedEx International Connect Plus has proven popular with ecommerce businesses and consumers looking to strike a balance between speed of delivery and value for money”, said Wouter Roels, Senior Vice President Marketing International, FedEx Express Europe. “As part of our European growth strategy, our aim is to offer our customers a suite of shipping solutions that are easily accessible and match their specific delivery needs.”

Product portfolio reshaped

The logistics company says it’s reshaping its product portfolio for ecommerce customers, because of the significant recent boost in ecommerce worldwide. “The way consumers shop is changing every day and rapidly transforming the retail landscape. Research shows 49 percent of shoppers will shop online more frequently once the COVID-19 outbreak is over”, it adds.

Connecting online retailers to more customers worldwide

With FICP, FedEx wants to help European businesses by connecting them to more customers in global and intra-European markets. Aside from the international, day-definite delivery service, FICP offers tracking, sending out notifications to receivers and flexibility to change delivery options via FedEx’s Delivery Manager.
