GLS Spain now offers over 200 automated lockers

Parcel and express transport provider GLS Spain has integrated a large number of Pudo, Hapiick and PDN360 terminals into its network. Now, the number of automated lockers than can be used by GLS in Spain amounts to over 200.

Thanks to the expansion of its network, consumers in Spain can now use over 5,700 collection and delivery points of GLS Spain throughout the country. The automated lockers should give consumers extra comfort, as (in some locations) they are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

‘Consumers can pick parcels up whenever and wherever they want’

“Ecommerce requires modern delivery solutions during the last mile, to satisfy the shopping experience of consumers in terms of a convenient pick-up of parcels”, Luis Doncel, general manager Iberia at GLS, explains. “In our 5,500 ParcelShops and now also in over 200 Pudo, Hapiick and PDN360 terminals, consumers can pick up their shipments quickly and easy in a place and a moment that suits them best.”

GLS Spain delivers the ordered items directly at a ParcelShop or in an automated locker. If the parcel arrives at one of these lockers, the recipient will receive a SMS code which they can use to open the locker. Orders should be picked up within five days.

Returning items through automated lockers

This year, GLS Spain has plans to introduce a return option through the automated lockers.
