Ikea products are now available on Amazon

Only one week after Ikea announced it has plans to sell its products through third-party websites, the Swedish retailer is now offering select Ikea products through Amazon. Thousands of products are available in all countries where Amazon has a dedicated online store.

Last week, it became known the iconic Swedish furniture retailer Ikea had plans to sell its products third-party retailers. Torbjorn Loof, chief executive of Inter IKEA Group, talked about doing this next year. But now, a selection of Ikea’s products is already available via Amazon.

Ikea’s ‘gräddsås’ is for sale online

Via Amazon’s online stores in countries such as the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Italy, consumers can now order Billy bookcases, Kallax shelving units and Lack tables online. Unfortunately, the famous meatballs aren’t available online, but you can order its cream sauce for 3.99 euros. Most of the items are also available on Amazon Prime, which means members can receive free, two-day shipping.

In an earlier interview Loof said: “I leave unsaid on which platforms, but we will test and pilot, to see ‘what does this mean, what does digital shopping look like in the future and what do digital shopping centers mean?'”
