Online furniture retailer Beliani expands to Spain

Swiss online furniture retailer Beliani has further expanded its business across Europe. The ecommerce company has opened an online store in Spain, where it has run a pilot project since the beginning of 2015. Beliani is now active in 14 European countries.

Beliani is expanding its ecommerce business throughout the continent and is now active in Southern Europe, Western Europe and some parts of Northern and Eastern Europe. Now it has officially opened its online store in Spain. “Spanish customers are enthusiastic about our high-quality designer furniture, our attractive prices thanks to direct sales and fast, reliable delivery”, the company says. It says not only Spanish customers are now able to discover Beliani in Spain, but also customers from other nationalities who have their vacation or second homes in the Southern European country.

Bigger assortment and new warehouse

Aside from the expansion to Spain, Beliani also expanded its assortment by 20 percent and introduces many new product categories, such as carpets and lamps. “In Spain, garden furniture and leather seating are particularly popular”, Beliani explains. The ecommerce company invested 20 million euros in the construction of a new factory in Switzerland and a 20,000m² warehouse in Germany. This new European warehouse will also supply the Spanish market.
