Online package customization platform Packhelp launches in Europe

Packhelp, an online platform which enables retailers to create custom-branded packaging, has launched in Europe. Now online retailers from all across the continent can design and order their custom cardboard boxes without getting in touch with a graphic designer or printer.

Packhelp says it wants to serve especially small and medium-sized retailers who occasionally need branded packaging to promote their online store and pack their products. That’s why there is a minimum order of just 30 boxes and a production time of 14 days.

“The idea of Packhelp comes from our own experience. I have tried to order several dozen personalized boxes myself and it turned out to be an impossible task. It was a nightmare”, says co-founder and general manager Wojtek Sadowski. “The order I wanted to place was too small for printing houses to even consider opening my e-mail. We wanted to make it easy for ourselves, but we quickly realized that there are more businesses with exactly the same problem. And they aren’t just small to medium size companies. During our test phase, we manufactured boxes for brands such as Nivea and Uber.”

Two types of cardboard boxes with different sizes

The company currently offers two types of cardboard boxes, a mailer box (FEFCO 427 to be more precise) and a shipping box (FEFCO 201). The first one comes in 9 standard sizes and there are different ways to customize the box, for example, you can use monochrome (black ink) print directly on the cardboard or use a luxurious-looking matte finish. The shipping boxes are available in 6 different standard sizes, with the artwork printed in black directly on cardboard.

Sadowski says the company will gradually be adding more sizes along with new customization options to their standard offer. Packhelp’s web app is available in English, German and Polish, but more languages will follow. The website is available in all EU countries, and all products are also manufactured here.
