Pineca launches in the Netherlands

The Lithuania-based online supplier of prefabricated wooden buildings, Pineca, is launching an online store in the Netherlands. This is the company’s second expansion within Europe in this year. The company is already active in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Portugal as well.

The Pineca Group was founded in 2011, in Lithuania. It offers a wide range of prefabricated garden buildings, wooden houses and garages online. According to the company, it reached 60 million euros in revenue last year.

Two more launches this year

Just six months ago, the company launched an online shop in Portugal. Now, Pineca is entering the Netherlands. It has already announced plans to expand into two other markets this year, as well.

‘Pineca intends to enter Sweden and Austria this year.’

“Despite the slowing demand that is felt all across Europe, we are happy to have reached a 24 percent revenue increase in the first quarter”, said CEO Arunas Geciauskas. “Pineca intends to continue with plans for expanding our coverage in Europe and enter two more markets – Sweden and Austria. Together with our recent launches in the Netherlands and Portugal, this makes four new markets in 12 months and is the fastest geographical expansion in group history.”

Local market analysis

The company is currently offering a large range of hundreds of products in the Netherlands. In the coming months, it wants to expand the product range to suit the local market better. “Comprehensive market analysis before entering a new country allows us to apply our experience from other markets as well as adjust the value proposition and meet market expectations better”, said Karolis Kailiūnas, Head of Marketing.

‘We put a big focus on customer service to ensure that the customer journey is as smooth as possible.’

In order to drive conversion, the company is already focusing on its customer care. “Knowing that our customers consider the purchase of technically complex big-ticket products demanding deeper research, longer decision making process and higher financial risk evaluation, we put a big focus on customer service to ensure that the customer journey in buying and assembling a wooden prefab is as smooth as possible”, said Aurimas Junčis, COO.
