SwipBox offers returns in Danish parcel locker network

Online shoppers from Denmark can now return their parcels by putting the box in a parcel locker from SwipBox. Logistics provider Bring, the international unit of Norway Post, is the first to offer this return service via the parcel locker.

Bring joined as a carrier on the SwipBox Infinity parcel locker network exactly one year ago and now it’s the first to offer ‘first mile’ parcels via these lockers.

The returns solution follows two years after the Danish company SwipBox launched its app-operated parcel locker solution. In Denmark, the solution operates under the brand name Nærboks. Several logistics providers have joined and now deliver parcels throughout the network.

Increase in utilization of parcel lockers

“Online shopping behavior has changed significantly since the coronavirus pandemic began, and this has also led to an increase in the utilization of SwipBox’ parcel lockers. As customers shop more online, they inevitably need to return more parcels”, the company explains.

Reverse logistics

According to Jens Lauge, Strategic Product Developer at Bring, reverse logistics has always been a natural part of the company’s value propositions. “By adding the return service from the Nærboks parcel boxes, from which the customers first picked up their parcels, we will offer the 360-degree solution that our customers demand.”

Customers that want to return their parcel, need to register it via the app and take it to their nearest locker. In addition to Denmark, the SwipBox solution also operates in Sweden, Norway and Belgium, with more countries to come.
