VidaXL now offers dropshipping

European online retailer VidaXL has started today with making its full assortment available for other online retailers. Through this dropshipment program, online retailers can easily grab all the needed product information and sell VidaXL’s products through their own online stores.

VidaXL announced the news during the Shoptalk Europe event in Copenhagen. The dropshipment program follows one year after the online department store launched the Vida Marketplace, an online platform where external vendors could sell their products on the VidaXL website.

VidaXL takes care of customer service and returns

Via b2b.vidaxl.com, the full assortment of the Dutch ecommerce player is available to implement and sell. Thanks to different plugins and data feeds, the necessary information can be gathered automatically and then placed in a retailer’s online store. VidaXL takes care of customer service and will also handle returns.

With VidaXL’s dropshipping program, a dropshipper can connect his online store to the catalogue of VidaXL and then choose which part of the assortment will be displayed in his store. When a customer places an order, the order will be handed out to VidaXL, which takes care of the shipment. “For now, we have plugins for Magento 1 and 2 and for the ecommerce software of Lightspeed”, CCO Kijo Oudshoorn explains. “But of course, we also have an API. The content is available via plugins or a data feed.”

VidaXL says the dropshipping program is something both parties can benefit from: the Dutch company grows its customer base, while dropshippers expand their assortment. VidaXL also says it’s the ideal partner for expanding internationally. The Venray-based retailer is active in the whole of Europe, in the US and in Australia.
