Whistl acquires ecommerce shippers Parcelhub and Mail Workshop
UK-based postal operator Whistl has acquired Parcelhub and its sister company Mail Workshop. With the acquisitions, Whistl wants to accelerate its expansion in the parcels and fulfilment markets. Both businesses will continue to operate under their respective brands.
The acquisition was announced by Whistl, with CEO Nick Wells commenting they are delighted to welcome Parcelhub and Mail Workshop into the Whistl family. “It’s a business that identified a gap in the market providing solutions for clients that could not access the services and discounts available to large volume mailers.”
Building upon expertise in UK filfilment market
He thinks the two companies can work together to optimize their current parcels services to customers and build upon their expertise and presence in the UK fulfilment market. As part of the acquisition, managing director Mark Rosenborg will remain in its function and will keep operating the business from Nottingham under the Mail Workshop and Parcelhub brands.

Mail Workshop was launched in 2003 and offers ecommerce shipping and fulfilment. Parcelhub followed seven years later and provides a shipping and customer service solution for small to medium-sized online retailers. The company distribute over 6 million parcels across the UK every year.
