Deutsche Post DHL acquires 27.5% stake in French delivery company

Deutsche Post DHL Group announced its plans to invest in a minority stake in Relais Colis, a package delivery company from France. With this investment, the German logistics company wants to enhance the access for its DHL divisions and their customers to the French ecommerce market.

Deutsche Post DHL announced the stake investment in an official press release on its website. The 27.5 percent stake in Relais Colis will support further development of the French company’s network of pickup points and specialized delivery services. “This will allow DHL’s divisions, primarily DHL Parcel, to open up additional channels and expand its offering of logistics services for ecommerce customers to the French market”, DHL explains. But the investment should not only be beneficial for DHL, Relais Colis is said to also reap the benefits, especially from the additional volumes of DHL’s networks and the company’s knowhow.
