The 10 fastest-growing ecommerce companies in Sweden

There are several ecommerce companies in Sweden that have grown by several thousand percent since 2015. The fastest-growing ecommerce company in Sweden even saw its revenue increase by 61,850 percent between 2015 and 2016.

Research firm Payson used data from Swedish company registry Allabolag to compile a list of the ten fastest-growing ecommerce companies in Sweden. But aside from online fashion store Maddii, these companies had virtually no revenue to speak of at the beginning of last year. But then again, as Business Insider Nordic puts it: “a company’s growth in the first year is a strong indicator of future potential.”

The fastest-growing ecommerce company in Sweden is Moodcompany. This retailer sells party products and grew 61,850 percent between 2015 and 2016. Online shoe company Solestory came in at second place, while crystal design retailer Crystalline ranked third.

‘Looking forward to strong finish of the year’

“Ecommerce is growing in most categories, but it’s clear that the most popular products are clothing, sports equipment and interiors”, says Payson’s CMO Emma Lindgren. “Now we are looking forward to a strong finish of the year, which will surely see new sales records in Swedish ecommerce.”

Recently, a report showed that ecommerce in Sweden continues to grow and that it’s expected to be worth about 11.5 billion euros at the end of this year, which would be an increase of 9 percent compared to last year.
